Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for Reality Check Tampa Bay.

Nominations for Reality Check Tampa Bay were collected through March 15, 2007.  Nearly one thousand (1,000) individuals from all across our region expressed interest in being involved with the May 18 Reality Check exercise. 

The Reality Check Executive Committee is responsible for making final invitations to the selected nominees.  While we wish every person could participate, we were only able to select three-hundred (300).  While there will be many qualified nominees, the committee will give the utmost consideration to selecting a diverse group of participants that will reflect the diverse communities of the Tampa Bay region.

What Happens Next?

All nominees and the public are invited to attend the luncheon and results presentation on Friday, May 18, 2007. 

Community leaders will come together to discuss and design future growth scenarios for the seven-county Tampa Bay region.  Participants will discuss, negotiate and plot future residential and job growth, regional land use, transportation systems, and natural resources.  The results of their work will be presented through visual graphics in an afternoon presentation open to the public.  Please join us for this exciting lunch and afternoon program.
